Description of work Jeep-in: We'll team up to build new trail and move the combined CT/CDT off the road. Participants will enjoy this beautiful part of the Rocky Mountains just north of Garfield and Hwy 50 near Monarch Pass. Elevation 10,500 ft. CT Collegiate West.
Who can participate: To work on a trail crew, you must be at least 16 years of age and in good physical condition. No previous trail building experience is required. Crews are made up of volunteers like you: people who enjoy the outdoors, enthusiasts who like being with others and working as a team to accomplish the goal of “keeping the Trail.” Our volunteers camp near the Trail, eat good food, meet other great people, work together, and enjoy maintaining and enhancing the Trail. The work takes some energy and will help keep you fit. The surroundings are a big plus, being in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. Participants enjoy the camaraderie, a sense of accomplishment and find that Trail work with The Colorado Trail Foundation is truly fun.
